The Wisconsin Badgers are true finishers.
After using a 10-1 run to whip Virginia Tech Thursday night to start the N-C-A-A Men's Basketball Tournament, they closed Saturday's game against Villanova on a 15-5 run. That boosted the Badgers into the Sweet 16, gave them a ninth win over a higher-seeded team and sent the defending national champions home. Nigel Hayes scored the go-ahead bucket with a little over 11 seconds remaining. Hayes finished with 19 points, while Bronson Koenig scored 17. Coach Greg Gard told his team he doesn't care about where they were seeded, he just wants them to win six games -- now four are left. The Badgers had trailed 57-50 when they went on that 15-5 run to victory. Wisconsin plays Florida next Thursday.
