The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has been notified Sex Offender Michael L. McGee will be released from Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center on or before May 1st, 2017.
McGee was convicted in Racine County of the following crime.
Second Degree Sexual Assault (1987)
McGee was initially sentenced to prison for the 1987 conviction. McGee was paroled in 1992 but his parole was revoked shortly thereafter. In 1999, McGee was committed to the custody of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services at the Sand Ridge Treatment Center. McGee has since been ordered to be released from Sand Ridge Treatment Center on or before May 1st 2017. McGee will continued to be supervised and monitored after his release.
Upon release McGee will be living at a residence on Grayling Ave.in the County of Monroe. McGee is required to submit to lifetime GPS monitoring and comply with all requirements of a lifetime registrant of Wisconsin’s Sex Offender Registration Program, as well as other supervised release rules.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a community meeting on Tuesday, April 25th from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The meeting will take place at the Tomah Police Department in the meeting room.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the following information pursuant to Wis Stat 301.46(2m) –which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of the information will enhance public safety, awareness and protection. The individual in this notification has been convicted of a sex offense. This notice is not intended to increase fear, rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public. Sex offenders have always lived within our communities but it was not until Wisconsin’s Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Laws were enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community.
Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.
The offender in this notification will be living at 14170 Grayling Ave. Tomah WI. 54660, in the Township of Oakdale, Monroe County Wisconsin. The offender will be under supervision through the State of Wisconsin, Department of Corrections (DOC). The below listed offender will be released from incarceration from a facility in the State of Wisconsin by May 1st, 2017.
