Third Street School's "Walk Down Memory Lane" Wednesday Night

It’s the last chance to see Black River Falls’ Third Street School is Wednesday night.

The referendum to build the newly opened Red Creek Elementary School included the demolition of the outdated Third Street School and Black River Falls Superintendent Shelly Severson knows Third Street was a specials for many students, staff, and community members.

Severson invites everyone to “A Walk Down Memory Lane” tonight from 5:00 to 7:00 at the school.

According to local historian Paul Rykken, the “modern and well-equipped” new Black River Fall High School…now known as Third Street School…open in the fall of 1927. It underwent three phases of additions over a 27 year period ending in 1954.
