More thunderstorms are expected in much of Wisconsin this (Tuesday) afternoon and evening, after large hail and heavy rains fell on Monday.
Parts of Dane County had hail as big as baseballs -- Cuba City had wind gusts up to 68 -- some trees and power lines fell in south central areas -- semitrucks were said to be tipped at Platteville -- and Glidden in the far north had seven inches of rain. The state's midsection was spared of damage but it still received a nice soaking, with Manitowoc getting the most rain with one and one half inches. Almost one-thousand electric customers in the Badger State had their power out as of 5:30 this (Tuesday) morning. The Pewaukee area had about 23-hundred customers out Monday night that were not caused by the storms. We Energies said a goose flew into a power line.
