Federal officials are investigating the pilot of a small plane who was caught violating restricted air space during President Donald Trump's Milwaukee area visit.
Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says he got curious when two "F" 16 fighter jets circled the Juneau airport Tuesday -- and he learned that a man and his wife took off from Burlington before a military jet pilot told him to land. The pilot said he didn't know about the air space restriction and he would have left soon anyway, after planning a visit to Dodge County. Schmidt said he gave the pilot's information to the F-A-A, but there was no apparent effort to hurt public safety. Schmidt urged pilots to double check their flight plans when the president comes to the area -- and as the sheriff wrote on Facebook, "No one wants an 'F' 16 on their tail."
