High Speed Pursuit June 18, 2017

On June 18, 2017, at 2:42 AM, a Jackson County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on N.
5th St. at Main St. in the City of Black River Falls, Jackson County, for a moving traffic
violation.

The Deputy, who was driving a fully marked Jackson County patrol car,
activated his emergency lights only to have the vehicle noticeably accelerate away.
The suspect vehicle continued on Interstate 94 where it reached speeds in excess of
110 miles per hour. The vehicle lost control and crashed before the occupants fled from
the scene. Both suspects were captured after a foot pursuit and area search.
The driver was identified as Dakota M. Funmaker, age 26, of Wisconsin Dells, who was
arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 1
st Offense, Obstructing an Officer, and Felony
Fleeing.
The passenger was identified as Jordan M. Funmaker, age 25, of Wisconsin Dells, who
was arrested for Obstructing an Officer.
There is no further information at this time.
