Jackson County Sheriff Duane Waldera has announced that he will be running for reelection in the upcoming 2018 election this fall.

Waldera has served Jackson County as Sheriff for the past three terms, and has been involved in law enforcement for 25 years.

In a press release sent out this morning, Waldera said, "As your Sheriff, it is my responsibility to continue to provide competent, professional law enforcement services to the citizens of Jackson County. Based on my training and experience as a law enforcement officer, I understand the duties and responsibilities of Sheriff and would be privileged to continue that assignment for you."

Waldera will be running in the Fall 2018 General Election in November.
