Kimberly-Clark Gives State A Deadline For Deciding On Incentives

Paper-making giant Kimberly-Clark has given the state of Wisconsin until the end of the month to decide on a tax incentive package aimed at keeping a paper mill open.

Hundreds of jobs are at stake.  The company says it will close one of its plants in the Fox Valley, but is willing to keep a second one operating if the incentive package worth millions of dollars is approved.  About 110 jobs will be lost when the Neenah plant closes, but if the Cold Springs plant in Fox Crossing keeps operating, 500 jobs would be preserved.
