Accused Drunk Driver Released On $5K Signature Bond

The accused drunk driver who hit and killed a Lake Mills firefighter New Year's Eve has been released on a five-thousand dollar signature bond. 

Twenty-eight-year-old Samuel Cremers of Columbus is scheduled to return to Dane County Circuit Court in March.  Monona police say Cremers was drunk when he hit Fire Captain Chris Truman while Truman was helping a stranded driver.  Cremers is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
