On December 29, 2018 at around noon the Black River Falls Police Department executed asearch warrant at 119 South 3 rd Street Apartment 2 in the City of Black River Falls to locateevidence of a substantial battery incident that is reported to have occurred in the early morninghours on that day.
During the search of the residence several items pertaining to the batterycomplaint were seized. There was also a significant amount of drug paraphernalia, drugpackaging material, and some methamphetamine. Kelsey M. Jensen and Brendan D. Gerber,both of Black River Falls, were arrested and referred to the Jackson County District Attorney’sOffice for charges including:Brendan D. Gerber, 21 years old of Black River Falls:Substantial Battery, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, ChildNeglect, and Possession of Illegally Obtained PrescriptionsKelsey M. Jensen, 24 years old of Black River Falls:Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, Child Neglect, andPossession of Illegally Obtained PrescriptionsThe police department was assisted by the Ho Chunk Nation Police, Conservation Wardens ofthe Wisconsin DNR, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. As always, the police departmentappreciates the support of local and state agencies in making the community a safer place.Officers located numerous syringes and drug paraphernalia in a common basement area of thisresidence.
