On Wednesday, March 6th, 2019, at about 8pm, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received information that a wanted person was located inside a residence at W10601 Murphy Rd, Black River Falls, Jackson County, Wisconsin.

The subject in question was Anthony J. Phillips, 40, of Black River Falls. Phillips had an active felony Department of Corrections (DOC) warrant stemming from a domestic violence incident that occurred on March 3rd, 2019. Jackson County Deputies arrived on scene and were given permission by another owner of the home to make entrance. Deputies then negotiated with Phillips from an attached garage. During negotiations it was discovered that Phillips was in possession of a .22 pistol and was threatening to shoot himself if law enforcement attempted to enter.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies and negotiators worked diligently for approximately four hours to convince Phillips to exit the home peacefully. Additional law enforcement personnel from the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene to assist. Finally, at 12:21 am, Phillips exited the home and was taken into custody without incident. Anthony J. Phillips was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges of Domestic Disorderly
Conduct, Domestic Battery, False Imprisonment, and a felony DOC warrant. Additional charges are pending.

This is all the information that will be released at this time.
