The number of clean energy jobs nationwide fell in 2018, at least partially due to the Trump administration's tariffs on imported solar panels.

Wisconsin's clean energy industry bucked the trend. Nearly 18-hundred new jobs in the renewable energy field were added in this state. While jobs were falling across the country, Wisconsin employment in energy efficiency and renewable energy generation grew by an estimated two-point-four percent.
