The Black River Falls Public Library will transform into a mini golf course during an annual event set for July 20.
The Friends of the BRF Public Library group will host the “Friends Open” from 9 a.m. to noon on its unique course, which will weave around and through the aisles of the Fillmore Street library. Each hole has its own decorative twist, as they are sponsored and designed by local businesses and organizations.
“We are excited to continue the Friends Open,” said Joan Zenz, current chair of the Friends group. “We welcome families to visit us to try the mini golf course and explore our beautiful library.”
The event, which is taking place on the same day as the Karner Blue Butterfly Festival, is free and open to people of all ages. Children must be accompanied for golf by an adult.
Donations for the Friends group will be accepted. The Friends use funds raised to support and assist the library with programming, materials and other initiatives.
