Wisconsin State Patrol Watching Drivers From Air, Ground

The Wisconsin State Patrol is looking for speeders, aggressive or reckless drivers, and vehicles breaking other laws today (Wednesday).

The Patrol is watching a stretch of Interstate 39-90 in Dane County from the air and the ground. When troopers in State Patrol aircraft detect speeders or others increasing the danger, they contact ground-based units to conduct a traffic stop. When a similar exercise was held last month there were 28 traffic stops done, including one driver going 91 miles-an-hour in a 60 mile-and-hour zone.
