His ideas about passing a red flag law aren't getting a lot of support right now, but Attorney General Josh Kaul is still giving it a lot of thought.
The Democrat says Wisconsin should use a red flag law passed in Colorado as a model. That law goes into effect January 1st, allowing a family member, a roommate or law enforcement officer to ask a judge to take a person's gun away, temporarily. Kaul is pressing the issue after two mass shootings last week. No bills have been drafted by his office or by Democrats so far.
