Wisconsin is firmly in the winter deep freeze after overnight temperatures took a dive well below zero in some areas.

A wind chill advisory for the entire state has been issued by the National Weather Service. It will be in effect through 10:00 A-M today (Friday) – if it isn’t extended. Some wind chill readings in southeastern Wisconsin have been as cold at 25 below zero. Wind chills to the north and west have been ranging between 20 and 35 below. The Weather Service says the bitterly cold temperatures and winds could stay with us through mid-morning.
