The Jackson County Agricultural Society, or the Jackson County Fair Board, announced changes to this year’s Jackson County Fair.
A message on their Facebook page states, “Based upon the Jackson County Health Department’s recommendations of limited crowd sizes, we are unable to host the grandstand entertainment for the 2020 Jackson County Fair. This includes the farm and truck pulls, Wazee Riders, the concert for Saturday night, and the Demolition Derby...Sunday.” Any tickets purchased online through jacksoncountyfair-w-i-dot-com will be fully refunded. Fair officials said they hope to still hold a fair this summer, which would allow exhibitors to enter this year’s projects. A final decision is yet to be made. The Jackson County Fair Board continues to encourage anyone planning to exhibit in this year’s fair to submit entries by Saturday, June 13th. Entry forms and information can be found in a Jackson County Fair Book or online at jacksoncountyfair-w-i-dot-com. Fair Board Secretary Shirley Wagner says fair books can be found at area banks, Thiesens, the Melrose Express, and the Corner Store.
