Those same people were sitting in the dark Tuesday night when a series of thunderstorms swept through southern Wisconsin. Nearly 20 thousand Alliant Energy customers were without power, more than half in Columbia, Dodge and Sauk counties. Tuesday was still a day of protests over the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Hundreds of people gathered at Madison's Capitol Square Tuesday night after the storms had passed through.
