Gun sales are through the roof as a surge that started in March has continued.

Stores are filled with first-time buyers during the coronavirus pandemic. Sellers say fear has driven many buyers to consider the purchase of a weapon. They are reacting to the summer’s rioting. Sales at Max Creek Outdoors in Oregon have reportedly quadrupled. Most people looking to buy a gun are afraid of being robbed. The problem is maintaining a supply. The demand is outstripping the ability of gun manufacturers to keep the stores' inventories filled.
