The US Department of Agriculture announced today that Friday October 30th is the deadline to submit applications for the Wildfire and Hurricane Indemnity Program Plus (WHIP+) for 2018 & 2019 losses.

WHIP+ helps producers with losses due to many natural disasters, including the snow storms and tornadoes that occurred in 2018 & 2019. A new tool will be coming out next week from the Farm Service Agency to help producers understand eligibility for the program, and whether or not they should apply. The new tool will be able to be found on farmers.gov. To date, FSA has received 133,000 applications, and paid out nearly $1.4 billion in WHIP+ benefits.
