Investigation Nets Four Local Drug Arrests

 (3/18/13) A traffic stop conducted by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office ended with four (4) drug related arrests along with the execution of two search warrants according to Jackson County officials. Officials report seizing methamphetamine and marijuana in the investigation.

Freight Train Derails Near Hatfield

(3/17/13) A Canadian National Freight Train derailed early Saturday evening near Hatfield.  The freight train, carry cars loaded with sand, derailed on the Jackson/Clark County line at the County Highway "K" Crossing. Ther were no injuries and no hazardous materials were involved. The Clark County Sheriff's Department, Clark County Emergency Government and Officials from Canadian National Railroad were on the scene.  The Investigatin continues.
