Ralph B Wood, 80, passed away at his home on August 8th, 2019, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born September 23, 1938 to Margaret and Bernard Wood. He married Phyllis Anderson
on November 8th, 1958, at North Beaver Creek Church.
Ralph was a truck driver from the age of 17, until his retirement at the age of 70. Ralph was
known for using his words wisely, especially for his quick-witted one-liners. His avid love for
reading and doing word search puzzles has been passed on to his grandchildren and great
grandchildren. He had a love of being outdoors, working in his garden, and mowing his lawn.
He was also an excellent woodworker, building barns and doll houses for his grandchildren and
great grandchildren, along with several decorations at his home. He even built the star for the
large Christmas tree in the front yard. He enjoyed having coffee in the morning with his friends
at the station in Ettrick.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis, sister Ina Baer, children Grace Wood, Nancy (Jerry) Richer,
Becky (Stubby) Johnson, Chris (Luann) Wood, and Jason Wood. He is further survived by 10
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, with 2 great grandchildren on the way, along with a
large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father in law, his son Todd, daughter-in-
law Jennifer, grandson Donny, his siblings Bob, Bill, and Donna.
In lieu of flowers, please come and share your best Ralph memory or one-liner on Saturday
August 17th, from 1-4pm for the "Gathering in the Garage" at the Wood Family Farm.
