Edward C. Shramek Jr.

(4-19-12) Edward C. Shramek, Jr., 83, of Alma Center, WI, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the home of his daughter and surrounded by family, while under the care of Black River Memorial Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alma Center. Father Emmanuel Famiyeh will be officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Alma Center. Family and friends are invited for visitation, Wednesday, April 25, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary starting at 7:45 p.m., at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, WI. Family and friends are also invited for visitation Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at church. Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home of Hixton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Calvin R. “Preacher” Niemeier

Calvin R. “Preacher” Niemeier, 57, of Janesville, WI, died from complications from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at St. Jacob’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Norwalk, WI, with Rev. Matthew Minzlaff officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim’s Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 in JANESVILLE, WI at the Whitcomb-Lynch-Albercht Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held in Norwalk on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to fund ALS research are appreciated.

James "Jim" R. Solberg

James "Jim" R. Solberg, 84, formerly of Sparta, died Wednesday, April
4, 2012 in Boynton Beach, FL.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the 
Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, with Reverend Tiff Bates officiating.
Burial will be at a later time at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday
from 6 p.m. until time of services.

Margaret E. “Marge” (Reiprich) Catlin 91 took the hand of Jesus and was led to the Promised Land at 9:30 a.m. on April 5, 2012 at the Serenity House in Tomah, surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial service will be held at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 762 W. Clifton St., Tomah, WI. on April 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Serenity House, 601 Straw St., Tomah, WI or Lighthouse Assembly of God Church.   The Sonnenburg family Funeral Home, Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
