Green Bay Packers' defensive tackle Mike Pennel has been given a second four game drug suspension for violating the N-F-L's substance abuse policy.
He could have had a six-to-ten game suspension for a second violation -- but Pennel went to federal court in Ohio to challenge the league's selection of an arbitrator for his case, and he resolved the lawsuit earlier in the week. Pennel is a third year pro who was expected to start this season -- but after his initial suspension, he only had five tackles in eight games. The drug he was accused of taking has not been disclosed. The 6-6 Packers will start practicing today (Wednesday) for their Sunday home contest against Seattle.
