(Detroit, MI) -- The Green Bay Packers will host the New York Giants at 3:40 next Sunday afternoon in the Wild Card round of the N-F-C Playoffs.
The Packers won the North Division title and the Number four conference seed with a hard fought 31-24 victory at Detroit Sunday night. Aaron Rodgers threw for 300 yards and had three of his four touchdown passes in the second half, after Green Bay trailed 14-10 at the break. Aaron Ripkowski ran for 61 yards and one touchdown and Davante Adams had two receiving T-Ds -- and Matthew Stafford had 347 passing yards plus two scores and one interception for Detroit, which will play at Seattle on Saturday night as the final Wild Card and the N-F-C's Number Six seed. Both the Packers and Lions secured playoff spots late Sunday afternoon after the Giants won at Washington -- and the Packers made good on Rodgers' "run the table" prediction and won their final six regular season contests for the first time since 1941 while earning their eighth straight playoff bid, tied with New England for the N-F-L's longest current postseason streak.
