(Erin, WI) -- He's still 10 shots back, but a much-improved Saturday round has Madison golfer Steve Stricker moving up the leaderboard at the U-S Open at Erin Hills.
Stricker shot a three-under par 69 and he is tied for 30th at two-under entering today's (Sunday's) final 18 holes. Brian Harman is the third-round leader at 12-under par. Justin Thomas tied a U-S Open record with a 63 round to move into a three-way tie for second. Mequon native Jordan Niebrugge also moved closer to the top, though not as dramatically as Stricker. He shot a one-over par 73 to go two-over for the tournament. Niebrugge is tied for 51st.
