Turnovers and other mistakes held the score down, but freshman running back Jonathan Taylor put on a show in Wisconsin's 31-14 win over Florida Atlantic Saturday.
Taylor had 223 yards rushing and three touchdowns as the Badgers improved their record to 2-0. The Owls were impressive in defeat, stopping Taylor on fourth-and-inches at the one-yard line in the second period and playing the heavily-favored Badgers even in the middle two quarters. Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook was intercepted twice. The Badger defense dominated the second half, holding the visitors to 50 total yards and two first downs. Wisconsin goes on the road next weekend to play at Brigham Young.
