The Milwaukee Brewers are the latest Major League Baseball team to announce more protective netting is on the way.
The team says it will extend the netting to the outer edge of the dugouts at Miller Park on both sides of the field. This is not the first time for the move. The Brewers extended the protective netting two years ago to meet M-L-B standards. That came after a 2015 season which saw a Milwaukee woman injured when a foul ball fractured her forehead, left eye and sinus cavity, severing a nerve in her face. The Brewers say the work will be completed before the home opener April 2nd, 2018.
