The New York Mets improved to a league-best 11-1 with a 6-5 win over the Brewers Friday night at Citi Field.
Herman Perez and Ryan Braun hit two-run homers for Milwaukee and Travis Shaw added a solo shot but it was not enough to stop New York's nine-game win streak. Starter Zach Davies was chased after allowing five runs on seven hits over four-and-a-third innings. Todd Frazier hit a pair of home runs off Davies. Milwaukee falls to 7-7 with the loss. The teams play game two today (Saturday 6 P-M) with Chase Anderson on the hill for the Crew and Matt Harvey starting for New York.
