Milwaukee Brewers president of baseball operations David Stearns won’t be going home.
The Brewers have refused permission for the New York Mets to talk to Stearns about the same position with that team's rebuilding front office. Stearns grew up in New York City as a Mets fan and worked for the club as an intern 12 years ago. He’s got a big job here. He has to find a hitter or two to fill out a roster that couldn’t produce very many runs last season. The team is in the middle of the most successful stretch in franchise history. It has made the postseason three years in-a-row.
