Here are the stories:

Cornerback Sam Shields has re-signed with the Green
Bay Packers. Shields and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, announced an agreement was
reached via Twitter last night. The deal is a reported four-year, 39-million
dollar contract that includes a 12-and-a-half million dollar signing bonus. The
former undrafted free agent proved to be an important cog to the Packers defense
last season, recording 61 tackles and four
interceptions.

-----

The Milwaukee Bucks were without guard O-J Mayo in
last night's 114-107 loss to Washington. Mayo was suspended for one game
following Friday night's ejection for punching New Orleans' center Greg
Stiemsma. Brandon Knight led all players with 34 points. With the loss,
Milwaukee becomes the first team this season to reach 50
losses.

-----

Milwaukee advanced to the Horizon League finals last
night, knocking off top-seeded Green Bay in a 73-66 overtime thriller. Jordan
Aaron led the Panthers with 28 points, while Matt Tiby recorded a double-double
with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Green Bay's Greg Mays scored 17 point and nine
rebounds in the loss. The Panthers will face third-seeded Wright State for the
league title and an automatic N-C-A-A tournament bid on
Tuesday.

-----

The Wisconsin men's basketball team will face a
resurgent Nebraska basketball team in Lincoln today. The Badgers will face a
Husker squad that is on the bubble for its first N-C-A-A tournament berth since
1998. The Huskers have lost only one game this season at their new arena, while
the Badgers have an 11-2 record on the road. Tip-off is set for 6-30
tonight.
