(8-28-14) GOVERNOR SCOTT WALKER HAS APPOINTED ANNA BECKER TO SERVE AS JUDGE OF THE JACKSON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, REPLACING RECENTLY RETIRED

JUDGE THOMAS LISTER. 

"ANNA BECKER WILL MAKE A SUPERB JUDGE, WALKER SAID.  HER BREADTH OF EXPERIENCE, SIGNIFICANT INVOLVEMENT WITH

 

THE COMMUNITY, AND FIRM COMMITTMENT TO THE RULE OF LAW WILL BE OF IMMENSE VALUE TO JACKSON COUNTY".  BECKER, A FOUR TERM DISTRICT

 

ATTORNEY FOR JACKSON COUNTY, CURRENTLY SERVES AS FAMILY COURT COMMISSIONER WHERE SHE HANDLES CHILD SUPPORT AND PATERNITY

 

CASES ALONG WITH DIVORCE AND CONTEMPT PROCEEDINGS.  RETIRED JACKSON COUNTY JUDGE BOB RADCLIFFE WROTE  IN FOR BECKER, SAYING "THE

 

SELECTION OF ANNA BECKER WOULD BE IN THE VERY BEST INTERESTS OF THE CITIZENS OF JACKSON COUNTY".  BECKER IS A GRADUATE OF THE

 

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA AND HAMLINE SCHOOL OF LAW.  SHE AND HER HUSBAND RESIDE IN JACKSON COUNTY WITH THEIR TWO SONS.
