#1 Wisconsin Shuts Out Defending Champion Clarkson in NCAA Frozen Four

The top-ranked Wisconsin women's hockey team shut out two-time defending champion Clarkson 5-0 in the N-C-A-A Frozen Four to advance to the national championship Sunday against rival Minnesota. Abby Roque gave the Badgers the lead in the second period, Annie Pankowski scored twice, Sam Cogan had an insurance goal, and Presly Norby finished the scoring. Kristin Campbell made 14 saves for the shut-out victory. U-W got some redemption for losing the 2017 title game to Clarkson. Second-ranked Minnesota blanked Cornell 2-0 in the other semifinal to advance to the Frozen Four final. The Badgers beat the Gophers two weeks ago to win the W-C-H-A tournament championship in Minneapolis.
