Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul says his office has received more than 180 reports as part of its statewide investigation into clergy and faith leader abuse. Eighty percent of the reports are related to alleged abuse and 20 percent involve how a church or parish reports abuse. Nearly 40 of the reports came from people who had not previously reported to law enforcement or a religious authority. The reports come from every Catholic diocese in Wisconsin as well as other denominations. Kaul says this review seeks to help bring healing to survivors and to help stop future harm, and he continues to encourage survivors and others with information to report.
