An Alma Center man was cited for his 4th OWI on Saturday night. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was paged to a one-vehicle accident on Highway 12/27 in the Town of Adams just after 10:00 on Saturday night. It’s reported that 46-year-old Jessie Hoff of Alma Center was southbound when he drove his vehicle off the road, and onto the train tracks, before the car came to a stop on it’s side with Hoff trapped inside. Contact was made with the railroad company, and a train was able to stop within a mile of the accident, and Hoff was extricated by the BRF Fire Department. Hoff was cited for 4th OWI, Open Intoxicants, and Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control. The accident is still under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
