Over 70 EMS and Fire personnel helped put out a wildfire that was in the Town of Alma yesterday afternoon. The Alma Center Fire Department was paged to a call on County Highway F and Meek Road just before 1:00. Upon arrival, a large plume of black smoke was seen, and backup was called from multiple area fire departments. Responders were on the scene for almost six hours, and the Alma Center Fire Department reports that 170,000 gallons of water were used to put out the fire.
