Borealis Trains Start Tuesday

The inaugural trip of Amtrak’s Borealis passenger line is set for this Tuesday. The Borealis trains will provide daily service between the Twin Cities and Chicago, with local stops in Winona, La Crosse, and Tomah. Fares start at $41 each way. Officials say the trains will offer coach and business class seating in addition to a cafe car featuring regional items. The Borealis trains are jointly sponsored by the states of Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
