Brenda (Casper) Nordstrom

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Brenda (Casper) Nordstrom of Melrose, WI, passed
away peacefully after a three day stay at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse, WI, on February 26,
2024, surrounded by her family.

Brenda was born December 20, 1950, and grew up in Southern Wisconsin before meeting her
husband, Terry (Bloop) Nordstrom, at his parents 40 th anniversary party in 1990. The two
married in 1994 and enjoyed traveling to Yosemite National Park, Mount Rushmore, and Cancun
as well as trips to relatives’ cabins in Northern Wisconsin.

An avid Green Bay Packer fan, Brenda also enjoyed working outside in her flower gardens,
especially yellow flowers, visiting with her neighbor Jeaneta, knitting, playing games on her
computer, and playing cards with her family. She spent numerous years working in area factories
prior to an accident in 2002, which left her disabled.

She is survived by her husband, and daughter Sarah Denu of Dodgeville, grandchildren Corissa
(Tanner) Prochaska of Dodgeville; Mike (Hailee) Buttchen of Darlington; and Matt (Stacia)
Buttchen of Darlington; sisters Linda (Dennis) Schroeder of Melrose; Jean (Carl) Swenson of
Three Lakes; Lois Kampmeier of La Crosse; and brother Calvin (Maria) Casper of Alma Center,
10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Brenda also spent a lot of family time
with in-laws Nancy (John) Solberg of Onalaska; Mary (Mark) Hatlevig of Melrose; Susan
(Glenn) Isensee of Minocqua; Diane Nordstrom of Madison; Randy (Teresa) Nordstrom of Long
Beach, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Iola Casper, her in-laws Marjorie and Chester Nordstrom, and her brother-in-law, Russell Kampmeier.

The family would like to thank the staff on the 6 th floor at Gundersen Hospital for the excellent
care Brenda received while there.

Funeral services for Brenda will take place Friday, March 1, 2024 at the South Beaver Creek
Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. Pastor John Ashland will officiate. Friends and family are invited
to visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial at the Melrose Cemetery will follow
the service. After the burial there will be a luncheon at the L&M Café, with a Celebration of Life
after at the FOB LZ Tavern in Melrose.
