The Black River Falls Common Council met a week ago on March 1st. During the meeting, there was discussion on the possibility of an ordinance regulating off street parking. The City Attorney had researched similar ordinances from other municipalities, and all of them required parking on an improved surface, which the council had already explored. There was consensus that the council would abandon talks of creating the new ordinance. Also during the meeting, it was approved to allow the Town of Manchester to make two payments for their share of the Fire Department’s new rural pumper. The Council later went into a closed session to consider an employment agreement with Radcliffe Law Offices and compensation of city employees that the council has jurisdiction over. It was approved for the City Administrator to draft up an employment agreement with Radcliffe Law Offices.
