The Monroe County Health Department is hosting community flu vaccine clinics this October and November to facilitate easy access to flu shots for residents. Influenza can lead to serious health complications, making vaccination crucial. The CDC recommends that everyone aged six months and older receive a flu vaccine annually.

The clinics will offer a quadrivalent vaccine for those under 65 and a high-dose vaccine for seniors aged 65 and older. Insurance options are available to cover the costs: $30 for the regular vaccine and $65 for the high-dose version.

Clinic Details:

October 25: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM at Monroe County Health Dept., 315 W. Oak St.
October 30: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM at Kupper-Ratsch Senior Center.
