Community Invited to Public Meeting on Long-Term Sustainable Clean Water Solutions in the Sand Creek area.

Local residents are invited to attend a public meeting to discuss long-term,
sustainable solutions for securing a reliable clean water source for the community. This meeting will
include focused discussion on the needs and concerns of residents in the Sand Creek area, as well
as continued planning for the surrounding area.
As part of ongoing remediation efforts, an interim solution has already been implemented for six
affected residents. The next phase of the remedial action plan prioritizes evaluating long-term
options that will safeguard water quality for the broader Sand Creek area and ensure future needs
are addressed proactively.
The session will feature presentations from subjectmatter experts, local leaders, and environmental
partners. Attendees will receive an overview of current water concerns, potential infrastructure
improvements, and strategies for ensuring a resilient and sustainable water supply for years to
come.
“Our community deserves a secure, sustainable clean water source, and we want the
public—especially those living in and around the Sand Creek area—to have a strong voice in
shaping the best longterm solution,” said Tina Osterberg, County Administrator. “This meeting is an
important opportunity for residents to stay informed, ask questions, and help guide the next steps.”
Community members will be able to ask questions, offer input, and learn how to stay involved as
planning continues. Discussion topics may include environmental impacts, funding opportunities,
longterm infrastructure considerations, and options for expanded regional collaboration.
