Debra Marie Mahutga, age 66, of Whitehall, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes with her family by her side on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.
Debra was born April 16, 1955 to John and Janice (Servais) Rumpel at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Arcadia.
After graduating from Arcadia High School, Debra worked at Arcadia Fryers/Gold’n Plump until she retired. After retiring she worked managing and cleaning apartments in the Independence and Whitehall area.
Deb was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She loved to watch movies and her favorite TV shows. Deb had the knack of being able to find the perfect gift for her loved ones and had great style. She enjoyed decorating and spending time with her loving partner Greg and working side-by-side on their hobby farm.
Debra will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Emily Abley; her mother Janice Rumpel; siblings, Michael (Sandy) Rumpel, James (Mary) Rumpel, Julie (John) Severson and Joseph (Jessica) Rumpel; grandchildren, Michael Heffner, Nathaniel Heffner, Brianna Heffner, Alexis Beck, Hannah Abley and Connor Abley; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Debra was preceded in death by her loving partner Greg Jurowski; her father John Rumpel; her daughter Keri and her grandparents.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery both in Independence. Father George Thayilkuzhithottu will officiate.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Memorials may be designated to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and School.
The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
