Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services say the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 1,239 Thursday, for a total of 553,110. The number is an increase from Wednesday’s 822 cases, but the state’s rate of new infections has been falling since Feb. 4. There have been 6,140 deaths in the state, with 11 new deaths reported Thursday. As for the COVID-19 vaccine, DHS officials reported that 860,389 doses have been administered. 1,152,025 doses have been allocated to Wisconsin so far.
