Hunters, farmers, foresters and anyone interested in Wisconsin’s deer herd can help shape deer management in Wisconsin. The DNR is accepting public comments through January 13th on herd size objectives and deer management boundaries for the next three years. They already have council’s in all of Wisconsin’s counties to provide preliminary recommendations, but now is the time for public comments. The DNR will decide on how to manage the deer population at the end of January, and present the decisions to the Natural Resources Board in February. You can find out more and put in your public comments by going to the DNR’s website.
