The Department of Natural Resources says it has been an especially deadly season for drivers of A-T-Vs and U-T-Vs in Wisconsin. Investigators say most of those fatal crashes could have been prevented. As of one week ago, 28 people have been killed while riding one of the recreational vehicles. About half of the deaths involved the use of alcohol. The D-N-R says many could have been headed off by following safety precautions. The state offers a training class where operations can learn more safety tips and get a license.
