The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources meets today (Friday) to discuss a wolf hunt. Republicans in the Legislature want the idea fast-tracked while worrying the new Biden administration will return gray wolves to the federally-protected endangered species list. The D-N-R board has said it wants to be thorough before rushing to start a hunt. Right now, the next hunt is set for November. Hunters are becoming impatient because the wolves were removed from the protected list more than 60 days ago. Wisconsin Bow Hunters Association President Mike Brust accuses the D-N-R board members of “dragging their feet.”
