DNR Seeking Public Input On Statewide Turkey Management

The Wisconsin DNR is seeking public input as it begins revising the state’s Turkey Management Plan.
The current plan, adopted in 2015, guided turkey management for ten years. A new plan will direct statewide turkey management for the next decade.

A Turkey Management Plan Committee — made up of tribal agencies, hunting groups, conservation partners, and DNR and federal staff — has been convened to review public feedback and guide the plan’s development.

Wisconsinites can submit comments online via the DNR’s Turkey Management webpage or by emailing Taylor Finger, DNR Game Bird Specialist, at Taylor.Finger@wisconsin.gov
. Comments are being accepted through 11:59 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Afterward, the committee will draft a new plan, which will be released for public review before any final approval by the Natural Resources Board. More information on the review process will be announced as it becomes available.
