Dontay Wolf Cleveland, “ Hatazha Mani” (walking in the light) age 27, of Eau Claire, WI died February 15, 2022 at his home.

Dontay was born July 12, 1994 in Minneapolis, MN to Crystal Cleveland.

He graduated from Eau Claire North High School. After graduation he went on to work multiple jobs that he loved; including being a bingo caller, working at both Whitetail Crossing C-Stores, and his true passion of being a Native American Church Officer.

Some of Dontay’s favorite things to do were to drum, sing Native American church songs, church activities, and attending Native American Pow-Wow’s where he was a ‘fancy dancer’ and a ‘grass dancer’. He will be remembered for his passion in his church community and for always being a great teacher and role model.

Dontay is survived by his mother Crystal Cleveland; his children Soloman King Cleveland and Peach Lily Cleveland, whom he adored; brothers, Quentin, Statten, Adlai, Emerson, and Ta Maza Sica Cleveland; his Ga-ga Annette Littlewolf; baby mama and love, Natasha Decorah; Te-ga Gabriel Cleveland; Nani Anjanette Cleveland.

He is preceded in death by his great grandmother Annabelle Lowe; Choka Gerald Cleveland; and Te-gas Gerald Cleveland Jr. and Garrick Cleveland Sr.

Funeral services for Dontay will be Friday February 18, 2022 at the District 1 Community Center with Wilfrid Cleveland officiating at 12 PM. Burial to follow at the Decorah Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday February 17, 2022 at 3 PM at the District 1 Community Center.
