Two people were arrested on Thursday after turning themselves in after they fled from local police in a high speed chase. The Black River Falls Police Department reports that an officer noticed two vehicles travelling at high speeds last Wednesday night on I-94 Westbound. The officer attempted to make a traffic stop of the vehicles, but they continued on for 20 miles, and the chase was terminated due to safety concerns near Osseo. The drivers, 19-year-old Nicholas Roberts of Beloit, and 22-year-old Samuel Wennblom turned themselves in on Thursday to authorities in Black River Falls and were booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges of fleeing an officer and additional traffic offenses.
