A 25-year-old Arcadia man was located and pulled out from Lake Wazee on Sunday after a possible drowning. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 2:51 in the afternoon on Sunday, a call came in of a possible drowning in the Town of Brockway. The caller advised the dispatcher that the man had entered the water and had not resurfaced, and was not a very good swimmer. A group of 9 divers that included emergency service workers and some civilians entered the water searching for the man. He was located 17 feet underwater and about 25 feet away from shore. Black River Falls EMS took over rescue operations, and the man was med-flighted to the hospital for further treatment. His condition is unknown at this time, and his name has not been released yet.
